Starting from October 1, 2008 Gerhard Hoesl has taken up a post of a Head of Siemens
Represntatvie Office in Belarus. His prede-cessor Kai Lacher has taken a new job
in the headquarter of the Siemens Sector Industry, Division MT, in Erlangen, Germany.
"I'm very glad about the opportunity to open a new page in the book of the Siemens'
history in Belarus that is today quite successful in all business fields. After my first
visiting our local customers and partner companies I could see how much Siemens is
acknowledged and respected in Belarus. Let us continue the started history of success
to share responsibility for subsequent maturing of this beautiful country", said
Gerhard Hoesl in his introductory speech at the welcoming reception given in his honour in Minsk.
Gerhard Hoesl joined Siemens AG in 1990 and worked in different functions and departments
in Germany. From October 2004 till November 2007 he was General Director and Chief
Financial Officer of Siemens Business Services Ltd, Russia, with location in Moscow.
Before his joining Siemens in Belarus, till September 2008 Mr. Hoesl was the Chief
Financial Officer of Nokia Siemens Networks in Russia.
In 2008, the Honourary Doctorate of the University of Voronezh (Russia) was lent to him.
