Siemens Power Generation (PG) is to make a turnkey supply for the
largest Belarusian chemical manufacturer Grodno Azot. Commissioning
is planned for the middle of 2008.
Siemens Power Generation (PG) is to supply two SGT-300 gas turbines,
two heat-recovery boilers, low voltage system, medium voltage system
and an automatic control system for the largest Belarusian chemical
manufacturer, which is also one of the largest in Eastern Europe. The
equipment will be used in the enhancement of productive capacity of
the enterprise.
Today Grodno Azot is a modern and highly automated enterprise producing
ammonia, nitrogen fertilizers (carbamide, ammonia sulfate), caprolactam,
sulphuric acid, methanol and other chemicals, as well as consumer goods.
The production conforms to the requirements of international standards
according to ISO-9002. This allows exporting of more than 50% of its
production. Grodno Azot has a developed infrastructure of auxiliary
workshops, which provide the maintenance and repair of the equipment,
manufacturing of spare parts.
In order to meet ever-changing needs of the market Grodno Azot is constantly
investing in its modernization and development, as well as into the
perfection of production processes. The favorable geographic location
of Grodno on the crossroads between Eastern and Western Europe near to
the ports of the Baltic Sea makes it attractive for customers and foreign
investors. The production of the enterprise is supplied to USA, Russia, Ukraine,
countries of Western Europe, South-East Asia and Latin America.
