30.06.2006

Mobile Digital Communications Ltd. (VELCOM), a leading mobile provider in Belarus, has awarded Siemens Communication a contract for network expansion to add extra capacity to its GSM network. The contract covers delivery of more than 260 GSM900 and GSM1800 base stations (about 1900 TRX) including microwave components, a switching center for Mogilev region, as well as the delivery of extensions of the SDH based transport network.
